Australia's largest independent regional airline, Rex, has been forced to start its own cadet pilot scheme to ensure it will have enough pilots to continue operating its scheduled routes.
It has already suspended flights between Brisbane and Maryborough because it cannot guarantee it will have enough pilots to service them.

Following are the pre requisite qualifications:
Pre Requisite Qualification For Citation XL
1. The total flying hours as PIC should be more than 2000 hrs.
2. Total flying hours as PIC on type should be more than 500 hours.
3. Age should not be more than 55 years.
4. Pilot should have 1st class Medical license.
5. License should be current on type with the validity of 1 year.
6. Pilot will be responsible for the maintenance and keeping their licenses valid.
7. Pilot will have to work with the Company for minimum of one year of contract. Depending on the mutual understanding it can be extended further.
Net Salary will varies between 6000- 8000 $ + Benefits.
