Lufthansa Technik, the world’s leading provider for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of airplanes, components and engines, is setting up a new facility in India to support the growing aviation sector. The Lufthansa Technik India facility will be located at Shamshabad, Andhra Pradesh, the site of the upcoming Rajiv Gandhi Hyderabad International Airport.

Lufthansa Technik India has vacancies for Technician Trainees at its Hyderabad office in the following fields:

1. Mechanics
2. Avionics
3. Structures
4. Composites
5. Cabin Interiors
6. Painting /Varnishing

Requirements:

1. Passed AME Paper 1 minimum
2. Polytechnic graduation
3. Fluency in English
4. Good hand skills
5. Good medical condition

All Lufthansa Technik India trainees will receive a professional supplemental training in India as well as abroad within the Lufthansa Technik network starting from July 2007.

Lufthansa Technik India will provide base maintenance services (including C- and D-checks) for Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737 aircraft, including 737 Classic and 737 NG (Next Generation). The facility is expected to commence operations by the end of 2008 with two parallel lines to serve the maintenance requirements of the rapidly expanding narrow-body fleets of Indian carriers.
