Indian start-up carrier, Chennai-based Star Aviation, has confirmed an order for up to 10 Embraer 170 regional jets. The airline is a start-up unit of the ETA Star group, a Dubai-headquartered conglomerate, and also India's first scheduled regional airline.
The Brazilian aircraft maker said in a statement that it had signed a contract for the sale of the aircraft with Dubai-based ETA Star Group. According to Embraer, the deal covers seven firm orders and three options.
