Indian domestic carriers, such as Jet Airways, Kingfisher and SpiceJet, are suddenly waking up to the lure of a new growing market-Hong Kong and Shanghai-with the Olympics slated in China next year.
“We are definitely looking at Hong Kong as one of the key destinations in South East Asia. Subject to getting the government’s approval, we would like to start daily flights from Delhi and Mumbai, beginning with the summer schedule next year,” said Wolfgang Prock Schauer, CEO, Jet Airways.
