According to insiders, the Indian Government is in the last stages of finalising a relief package for the struggling domestic aviation industry rumoured to be worth US$1 billion.
Involving cash injections, loans, abolition of excise duties and even discounts of airport fees, this move is one rarely seen by any government body, say analysts at the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA).
