NEW DELHI: The Indian civil aviation ministry has turned down a proposal from the Defence Ministry to exempt three heads of the armed forces from airport security checks.
The Indian president, prime minister, cabinet ministers and those protected by the special protection group including Congress President Sonia Gandhi, her family and former prime ministers are exempted from airport checks.
