The Indian government has approved funding to implement its satellite-based augmentation system for navigation, the GPS-aided Geo Augmented Navigation (GAGAN) project, setting aside approximately $169 million.
The Indian Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved the funding for the project, including funds already spent on a demonstration phase, in its meeting September 11.
