NEW DELHI, May 25: The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has stressed the need of investing more effectively in environmental technologies, including biofuel and advanced traffic management systems, to reduce carbon emission.
IATA’s director general and chief executive officer (CEO), Mr Giovanni Bisignani said environmental technologies will drive the aviation industry forward. “It will first help in achieving 25 per cent fuel efficiency improvement target and more importantly lead us toward our vision of carbon neutral growth leading to a carbon emission free industry,” he said recently in Geneva at the 'Aviation and Environment Summit'.
