New Delhi, June 04: The government on Wednesday asked airlines to appoint Ombudsman by August 1, a move that could provide much needed help to passengers who are often left at the mercy of operators.
"The airliners have been asked to appoint ombudsman so that complaints and representations from users and passengers are handled by credible independent agencies," Civil Aviation Secretary Ashok Chawla told reporters after his meeting with airline operators here.
