ETIHAD Airways has arranged aircraft financing facilities worth nearly $400mn to acquire three new Airbus A340-600 wide-body aircraft, according to a spokesperson.
The Abu Dhabi-based airline has signed a $250mn agreement with a consortium of regional and international banks to finance the acquisition of two of the 288-seater aircraft, and mandated a separate group of banks to raise $148mn, under a French lease structure, to obtain the third.
