A local aviation company is spreading its wings beyond its home in Waterford Township by opening a base in Florida.
Rick Nini, president and chief executive officer of Corporate Eagle Companies, said Monday the company is expanding to Florida as part of a reorganization sparked by the growth of its fractional jet ownership programs.
Corporate Eagle also formally changed its name earlier this month when it spun off the Tradewinds Pilot Center in Waterford Township. Up until early January when the companies split apart, Corporate Eagle had operated as a division of Tradewinds, Nini said.
