Jet Airways swears by innovation, quality of service

Jet Airways
chairman Naresh Goyal has won the BML Munjal Award for Excellence in
Learning & Development in the Private Sector category. Naresh Goyal
received the award, along with a citation, from Union Minister for
Civil Aviation Praful Patel at Hotel Maurya Sheraton, New Delhi
yesterday, Jet Airways said in a press release. The Awards ceremony
was organized as part of Hero Mindmine Institute’s Summit on “Emerging
Business Challenges: Search for Winning Responses.”
The jury which selected Naresh Goyal was headed by HDFC chairman
Deepak Parekh. Other jury members included Shobana Bhartia of
Hindustan Times, Arun Maria of Boston Consulting Group, Ajay Sriram
of, DSCL, Dr Vinayshil Gautam, IIT Delhi, Tarun Das, CII, and Sunil
Munjal of Hero Mindmine Institute.
Naresh Goyal said: “I am delighted to receive this Award, on behalf of
all my colleagues in Jet Airways, particularly the front line staff
who deliver our product and service smilingly often under difficult
and stressful situations. For us in Jet Airways, being the first
recipient of this prestigious Award is particularly significant and
meaningful.”
Jet Airways is the largest private sector airline in India. Though it
has lost some of its marketshare to low-cost upstart airlines, Jet
Airways is still regarded the private sector airline pioneer which
ended the monopoly of government-owned Indian Airlines Ltd. "It is Jet
Airways’ efforts at continuous innovation to stay ahead of its
competition, its undeterred focus on quality of service and its
proactive work towards building a growth oriented, high performance
work culture that have been recognized as the noteworthy achievements
