Air India cuts fares for accident victims from Gulf

Air India has announced that it will be reducing fares by 30 to 40 per cent for Indian expatriates in Gulf countries who are accident victims. With an average of one or two patients arriving on a stretches from Bahrain every two months, Air India Manager for Bahrain & Jordan, M N Naik has confirmed the gesture.

In case a stretches is required, where six seats would need to be blocked, Air India says it will charge only charge for three of the seats at the full market fare, thereby allowing the victim to save as much as 40 per cent. Naik said to Gulf Daily News, "Many of them are victims of accidents or strokes."

He further added that flights on Air India were fully booked until July 15, while return flights were full from the period August 16 to September 10.

He also said that attractive packages to East Asia, the Far East, the United States and Canada have been introduced by Air India.
