Air Sahara relaunches Sixer In The Air Scheme

BY A CORRESPONDENT
July7, 2006

Air Sahara has relaunched its 'Sixer in Air' scheme, which allows passengers to purchase six economy class flight coupons for Rs.26,000, valid for any domestic sector and up to September 30.

The scheme is inclusive of taxes, and will make the carrier, which has recently pulled out of a Rs.2,300 crore deal with Jet, to become more competitive. The airline has announced that the coupon would mean that each ticket will cost only Rs.3808, in competitive comparison with other airlines, where the range on offer spans from Rs. 4775 to Rs.
5335.

The scheme is available only till July 15, following which the fare will become Rs.31,500, inclusive of taxes and surcharge. Additionally, flights on two sectors, namely the Delhi-Dibrugarh and Delhi-Cochin will require the use of tickets instead of the usual one.

The airline had announced that it would restart its own services, following the deal fallout with Jet.
