Jet Airways has announced a "Mega Sale" to mark the onset of the
spring season. Passengers travelling from February 21 and April 10 can
avail of this offer as 100,000 seats on flights across 86 sectors can
be booked at a much cheaper rate. Bookings for this period can be
finalised between January 31 and February 8, either through travel
agents or on the website www.jetairways.com. The offer is subject to
availability of seats.
Jet Airways has also announced that it will operate two direct flights
between Bangalore-Thiruvananthapuram-Bangalore and Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai
sectors from Wednesday. The two new links are a response to the
increased air traffic in and out of Kerala and would be operated by
the 62-seater ATR72-500.
An early morning service from Pune to Bangalore and an evening service
from Bangalore to Pune would be giving day-return facility for
passengers from Pune. This is expected to aid business travellers in
particular.
Passengers on the Bangalore-Mangalore-Bangalore, Bangalore-Goa-Bangalore
and Bangalore-Kochi-Bangalore sectors in the South can also expect
better service and options on their journey. These sectors have been
upgraded to operate on a Boeing 737-700, which provides more seats.
According to Jet Airways, the late evening
Bangalore-Hyderabad-Bangalore flight operated by an ATR72-500 was the
third frequency on this sector, and gave business travellers based in
either city better options for same-day return to their destinations.
