Jet Airways has entered into an 'interline agreement' with Air Sahara
after the mass sick leave agitation of its pilots. Air Sahara
passengers will be automatically transferred to Jet Airways in cases
of any disturbances in Sahara schedules.

Air Sahara pilots had gone on a mass sick leave demanding a 'no
objection certificate' so that they can join other air carriers. This
had left thousands of passengers stranded. The agitating pilots
reported back to work only after their demand for the waiving of
notice period was accepted
Jet Airways wants Air Sahara's passengers not to have any unpleasant
experiences in the case of disturbances like the one happened last
week. Jet Airways does not want its brand equity frittered away as a
result of the buyout. Travel agents have been told that passengers
with Air Sahara tickets can be automatically transferred to Jet
Airways.
Even though the acquisition of Air Sahara happened in January, the two
airlines continue to operate as separate entities till the reglatory
approvals are in place.
