Low-budget airline Air Deccan has announced another round of
low-priced tickets of Rs 999 for travel between March 1, 2006, and
April 10, 2006. The low-cost carrier is offering tickets of 50,000
more tickets, and this follows its earlier offering of one lakh
tickets.
The bookings opened from Sunday and this fare is available on select
sectors.
"Just last week, Air Deccan had released one lakh tickets at Rs 999,
which received an overwhelming response from the public, with the Air
Deccan website and call centre receiving countless hits and calls
since the bookings opened," a company release said.
This is a opportunity for passengers who missed out on the low fares
last time, it added.
Warwick Brady, Chief Operating Officer Air Deccan said: "we will
continue to offer lowest fares and will not be cowed down by the fares
offered by full frills and high-cost airlines. In fact, we have forced
other airlines to drop their fares and right from our inception we
have aggressively been working towards lowering our fares."
