Kingfisher Airlines gets new ATR
New plane will be used to open more routes, says Mallya

Kingfisher Airlines has taken delivery of a brand-new ATR 72-500
aircraft. This is the first aircraft to be delivered to the Indian
premium scheduled airline under the a recent deal to acquire 35 planes
with a 20 more on option.
Kingfisher Airlines chairman Vijay Mallya and ATR Corp CEO Filippo
Bagnato were present at the ceremony to hand over the new aircraft in
Kingfisher Airlines livery at Toulose.

Dr Mallya said that the new ATR aircraft will allow Kingfisher
Airlines to develop its route network and introduce new routes and
flights not previously served. "We are excited to induct this Aircraft
into our ever expanding fleet," he added.
Mr Bagnato said that his company is proud to be associated with
Kingfisher Airline's plan to develop more commercial routes in India.
He also said this was ample evidence that the ATR aircraft are well
suited for India.

According to ATR, the ATR 72-500 offers the highest standards of
passenger comfort with the widest cabin in their class. Equipped with
the new Elegance cabin, the aircraft is delivered with the newest
technological innovations in the field of communications and
navigation aid tools and IFE (in-flight entertainment).
ATR has sold 793 aircraft (398 ATR 42s and 395 ATR 72s) and delivered
691 aircraft (383 ATR 42-500 and 308 ATR 72-500) till now.
