Singapore Airlines eyes additional flights to Chennai, Delhi
Both Chennai and Delhi are good markets for Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines, the listed Singapore-based airline which operates
56 services a week out of India, wants to double the number of flights
out of Chennai and Delhi. The airline currently operates two flights
out of Mumbai and daily fights out of Chennai and Delhi.
Singapore Airlines GM B K Ong has said that the demand for airline
seats continues to be strong and both Chennai and Delhi are good
markets. The additional capacity would prove useful, he said.
The airline, which started operating more flights to Bangalore last
year, acquired Silk Air services to Hyderabad. Silk Air is the the
regional wing of Singapore Airlines.
Singapore Airlines also operates flights to Kolkata, Ahmedabad and
Amritsar. Silk Air operates to two destinations in Kerala. The
airline, which is also starting operations to Pakistan, Abu Dhabi and
Moscow soon, is awaiting the launch of the Airbus A380.
