Omega Airlines launch in July
...to begin flights to Tirupati, Visakhapatnam

Andhra Pradesh-based Omega Airlines, a division of Omega Travels, is
planning to commence services from Vijayawada to Tirupati and
Visakhapatnam by the second week of July. The upstart airline has
started negotiations with aircraft manufacturers in France and Canada
for acquiring 50-seater aircraft.
The inaugural Omega Airlines flight will be from Gannavaram airport
and will cover Tirupati and Visakhapatnam, even though the exact
routes of services are yet to be worked out. Omega Airlines intends to
commence operations connecting Vijayawada to Pune, Goa and other
destinations in the country.
Omega has also received permission to use Gannavaram airport for night
landing.
Omega Airlines had earlier received a no objection certificate (NOC)
from the Civil Aviation Ministry for operating commercial services in
the state.
