INDIAN AIRLINES NAGPUR-BANGKOK

Indian Airlines starts Nagpur-Bangkok flights

Second international flight out of Nagpur

BY A CORRESPONDENT
April 17, 2006

Indian Airlines (now Indian) has started its bi-weekly flights from Nagpur to Bangkok on Saturday. The airline will operate an Airbus A320 aircraft, with 145 seats - 125 in economy class and the rest in business class. The Indian Nagpur-Bangkok flight will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The Indian Airlines Nagpur-Bangkok will leave Nagpur at 1010 hours and arrive in Bangkok at 1455 hours (local time). The return flight will depart at 1545 hours (local time) and arrive in Nagpur at 1750 hours.

Besides Nagpur, Indian Ailrines already has Bangkok flights from Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata and Mumbai.

For Nagpur, this is the first international flight from the city. Last October, Air Arabia became the first foreign airline to land here in a Sharjah-Nagpur flight.

According to aviation minister Praful Patel, the development of Nagpur will spur the development of the Vidarbha region, one of the most impoverished areas of Maharashtra.
