Indian Airlines is planning to increase the number of daily flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to 75 per week, from June 1, 2006. The airline has launched a daily flight on Dubai-Mumbai route, which is being operated with an Airbus A320 aircraft.

The additional flights to UAE will depart from Chennai and Calicut and the airline intends to operate non-stop flights between the two destinations.

"The new flights will compliment operations through Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, and increase the airlines' UAE operations to 75 flights per week. This will make it one of the largest and fastest growing airlines operating out of UAE," Indian Airlines country manager Aloke Singh said.

The flight to Chennai will depart from Dubai at 13.45 hours and will arrive at Dubai at 19.00 hours, while the return flight will leave Dubai at 12.00 hours and reach Chennai at 22.30 hours.

The flight to Calicut will depart Dubai at 02.00 hours reaching Calicut at 07.00 hours, and in the return direction depart for Calicut at 10.15 hours. It will back at 12.45 hours.
