Frankfinn Institute, a leading cabin crew training firm in India, is
planning to start its own low-cost airline by 2009 with 2 Boeings and
four smaller planes. A report in leading financial daily Business
Standard said that the Frankfinn has already leased an Airbus
A-300 to rain its cabin crew students. Frankfinn Aviation Services,
the parent company of Franfinn Institute will be starting the airline.
The venture will start up with a capital of Rs 1500 crore.
Frankfinn chairman KS Kohli was quoted as saying in the BS report that
the airline will be funded by the promoters - there are no plans to go
for a pubic issue to raise money. The airline will ply both trunk and
non-trunk routes.
Besides Frankfinn Institute, Frankfinn has two other divisions -
Frankfinn Management Consultants (FMC) and Frankfinn Music.
