Emirates Trivandrum flights: Bookings open

Emirates has started bookings for its flights to Kerala capital Thiruvananthapuram, (Trivandrum) which are due to start soon.

Tickets can be booked through the Emirates website, travel agents or by calling Emirates' Reservations & Enquiry on 04 214 4444. Emirates Dubai-Thiruvananthapuram flights start from February 1, 2006. There will be eight flights a week to Thiruvananthapuram and daily flights to Cochin.

According to an airline release, Emirates intends to fly Airbus A330-200 on the Kerala route, in a three-class configuration with first, business and economy classes. There will also be a B777-200 in a two-class configuration.

Emirates is also increasing the number of its flights to Chennai from four a week now to eight. "Air transport links form the foundation on which commerce can prosper and friendly relations are built. We welcome our new links with Thiruvananthapuram and look forward to growing that relationship. We would like to thank the Government of India for its support and we look forward to facilitating greater tourism and business traffic to the cities, which we serve," Emirates said.

Members of Skywards, the Sri Lankan Airlines - Emirates alliance - can fly to Thiruvananthapuram for up to 50 per cent less Miles between 1st February and 31st March 2006.

Emirates, which takes pride in being a premium carrier, has its inflght entertainment system fitted with personal video screen with touch control, and a personal satellite phone, irrespective of class. For business class passengers, a video library is also available.
