Sharjah-based Air Arabia will up the number of flights flying into
Mumbai by an additional six flights per week from June 20 onwards, to
hit a high 13 flights a week between Sharjah and Mumbai. Adel Ali, CEO
of Air Arabia said, "The demand for seats to Mumbai has been
overwhelming and in order to cope with this demand we have decided to
operate an additional flight to the destination. The additional flight
shall be catering to the large number of families going back to India
for their summer holidays."
While the regular flights will continue as usual, departing at 2145
hours from Mumbai and 1630 hours from Sharjah, the additional flights
will operate on six days of the week, excluding Monday, leaving
Sharjah at 0010 hours local time, arriving in Mumbai at 04:40 hours
Indian Standard Time. The early arrival time is expected to help
schedule good connecting domestic flights within India, said the
airline.
Additional flights will commence from June 20 and up to July 16, and
the starting fare for one-way flights will be Dh 500, exclusive of
surcharges and taxes.
Ali also said, "The new flight has been included with no change to our
existing schedule ensuring that none of our customers on other routes
are inconvenienced, we shall also soon be increasing our flight
frequency to other key markets where we have had a similar response
and need to cater to the summer rush. "
