Air Deccan's flights to Port Blair
Airbus 320 to fly in this sector

Low-cost airline Air Deccan will launch direct flights from Chennai to
Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This is under its plans to
connect new destinations, even the ones that are not on the scheduled
route of other airlines.
An Airbus A 320 (180-seater) has been deployed on this sector. Air
Deccan Managing Director GR Gopinath said: "the only way of getting to
Port Blair other than air is by sea. However, this is a time-consuming
affair and takes a minimum of two days".
Daily flights to Port Blair will start from March 1, while bookings
are for date upto May 31.
