Air China, China's flag carrier airline, is to launch flights to New
Delhi and Mumbai from Beijing from October this year. China's biggest
airline is to operate four flights per week using Boeing 767
airplanes.

The airline, which had sought a $750 million loan to finance the
purchase of 14 aircraft, is mulling flying some of its to-be acquired
planes to Indian destinations.
Currently, China Eastern Airlines and Air India operate passenger
flights between the two countries.
Air China had recorded a 12 per cent year-on-year rise in passenger
traffic in February this year, down from an 18 per cent expansion in
January.
