Air Sahara wing grazes Air India plane at Srinagar

Impact shakes aircraft, but no injuries reported

An Air Sahara plane grazed the wing of a parked Air India plane while it was taxiing at he Srinagar airport. According to reports, both the planes shook because of the impact, but there were no injuries. All passengers were safe. It is not clear whether the planes suffered any damage when their wings collided.

The Air Sahara Boeing was taxiing after landing from Delhi, while the Air India pane was parked after returning from its Hajj flight. The 180-seater Air Sahara Boeing was almost full when the incident happened.

Airport sources were quoted as saying that the incident happened due to insufficient parking space, since the airport is undergoing renovation.
