This month's edition of the Asian Aerospace Show 2006, to be held in
Changi, Singapore from February 21, will be the last in the series.
From next year, the UK-based Reeds Exhibitions, organisers of the
show, are moving to Hong Kong following a disagreement with the
Government of Singapore over the venue of the show.

The next Singapore aerospace show will be organised by the Government
of Singapore, its civil aviation authority and a different organiser.
It will be held in 2008.
The aerospace show is conventionally a biennial event. It has been
running sice 1981, but a recent Singapore government plan to expand
the Changi airport necessitated the relocation of the Asian Aerospace
Show venue. Negotiations with the government for an alternate location
collapsed last October. Reeds then announced that the show will be
moved to another country, but did not specify which one. Now, they
have zoomed in on Hong Kong.
The reborn Asian Aerospace Show will be held from September 3 to 6 in
2007 at the AsiaWorld-Expo complex located close to Hong's Kong
International Airport.
Meanwhile, the Singapore government is planning to organise its own
global air show from at a new 24-hectare venue from 2008. The new
organisers of the Singapore show will be a joint venture between the
country's civil aviation authority and the Defence Science and
Technology Agency, which will conduct air show every two years.
