The Indian Airlines flash strike which started on Tuesday night led to 62 flight cancellations on Wednesday. The government has struck back with threats of canceling a wage package for the striking Indian employees, even as the labour commissioner has called the strike illegal. 26 Indian employees have been suspended. The Indian flight disruptions led to windfall gains for other private airlines flying their routes, with harried passengers queuing up for tickets.
