Airlines in India, under the aegis of the Federation of Indian Airlines (FIA), have presented a memorandum to the government for safer airline operations. The airlines find the operating conditions at Indian airport difficult for safe operations. Airlines have requested mandatory runway inspection before monsoons. During the recent rains, the Mumbai airport runway was shit for pothole inspections.
